Dear Friends and Colleagues,

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is my pleasure to invite you to attend the 9th International Conference on Controlled Atmosphere and Fumigation in Stored Products which is held every four years in countries at different continents will be held in Antalya, Turkey from 15th to 19th of October, 2012.

The Antalya Region, offering all the mysticism of the past in our day, is now called the "Turkish Riviera" due to its archaeological and natural beauties. Antalya is the place where sea, sun, history and nature constitute a perfect harmony and which also includes the most beautiful and clearest coast along the Mediterranean. The city still preserves its importance as a centre throughout history on the south coast of Turkey, in addition to its wonderful natural beauty.

The main objective of the conference is to promote exchange of information on science and technology among scientists from different disciplines such as; entomologists, phytopathologists, microbiologists, engineers, food technologists, storage managers and regulators and discuss recent advances on quality preservation and pest control on stored products.

Traditionally, the conference brings together research scientists, consultants, extension workers, and industrialists involved in the safe storage of the world's durable food commodities, such as cereal grains, legumes, root crops, dried fruits, nuts and vegetables, pulses, spices and other agricultural products including bulbs and flowers.

This conference has also the objective of showcasing the Turkish agribusiness strength and quality to participants from countries of the five continents.

We look forward to promoting development of this field through intellectual communication and cooperation.
