METU CULTURE AND CONVENTION CENTER

The Cultural and Convention Centre of METU, which encompasses the most recent technological facilities, is designed to host local and international conventions, seminars, meetings, conferences, concerts, other cultural activities and related services. The centre consists of nine halls, two foyers, a restaurant, support and service units and benefits from the rich facilities and resources of the METU campus.

Grand Hall

The Grand Hall of METU Cultural and Convention Center, with a seating capacity of 850 persons, is designed to accommodate philharmonic orchestra concerts, theatres, ballets and operas. The stage has a surface area of 180 m2 and a back stage of 400 m2. 

   

Halls A and B

These halls have been constructed in the form of amphitheaters.
Image transfer among halls is possible via datashow; video, computer and laser CD images may be reflected to on stage screens.

THE FACULTY OF ARCHITECTURE

The Faculty of Architecture is committed to the study of the natural and man-made systems primarily comprising cities, buildings and industrial products.The Faculty and its curricula are organized around two basic disciplines of design and planning. Problems ranging from the creation of industrial products and architecture to landscapes and settlement systems are covered in lectures, field work and studios, where the aim is to bring together knowledge, methodology, theory and high levels of professional skills within the framework of projects.

Department of City and Regional Planning

Established in 1961, the Department of City and Regional Planning is one of the oldest and largest schools of planning in Turkey. With more than 2,000 graduates and not less than 400 undergraduate and graduate students today, the Department of City and Regional Planning has played a key role not only in planning education but also in the development of urban research in Turkey. click for further info...
